Charcuterie boards are everyone’s favorite party trick!
They are a fun and interactive way to enjoy some of our go-to snacks. It’s basically a classier, adult-version of lunchables, which many of us loved in our childhood. So let’s channel our inner child and get creative because turning a random pile of snacks into a Pinterest-worthy masterpiece? Easier than you think.
Start with the board. It can be wood, marble or slate. I’ve even used parchment paper on a table or countertop to create a charcuterie spread. Just make sure it’s big enough to hold an unreasonable amount of cheese because, let’s be honest, the cheese is the star.
You want a variety of cheeses: something soft (brie), something firm (cheddar), and something fancy enough to make you feel like an adult (goat cheese or manchego). Place them in different corners so your board has “anchors.” You can pre-cut them into slices or add some cheese knives.
Next pick cold cut meats such as salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, etc. Instead of just putting them straight down, add some drama by shingling them, twirling them, or making those salami roses everyone’s obsessed with. It’s basically origami, but edible.

Bring on the color with berries, veggies, dried fruits, cornichons, olives and more. Scatter them around like confetti. The more color, the better! Fill in empty spaces with nuts, chocolate, crackers and tuck them into gaps until your board looks luxuriously full. The goal is to curate an overflowing experience of different colors, flavors and textures.
