Siobhan DuPont, Co-op Development Manager

Hi! My name is Siobhan and I am a long time resident of Midtown Kingston. I am enthusiastic about working to shape a more equitable and just food system here in Kingston through my work with Kingston Food Co-op. Access to food that nourishes your body is essential to having a high quality of life.I believe everyone in our City deserves a high quality of life – regardless of where they are from, how old they are, or what they do.

I discovered my passion for food, health, and overall wellness in college. After graduating from SUNY New Paltz and landing my first role as the Youth Advocate for the Kingston YMCA Farm Project, I was able to gain deeper insight into the structure of our local food system and connect with multiple organizations in the community working to improve the quality of life for Kingston residents. That’s where I became connected with the Kingston Food Co-op.

I was eager to be involved in opening a grocery store near my home that prioritizes local foods and goods. I also formed strong connections with local farmers and vendors throughout the Hudson Valley while running my pop-up food business, Little Garden of Eat’n. Outside of my work and studies as a graduate student, I love to spend quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy lifting weights, drinking good coffee, trying new recipes, and traveling.
